Disibility rights pioneer Carrie Fisher dies!

Carrie Fisher well known as Princess Leia of Star Wars fame and daughter of singer Eddie Fisher and actress Debbie Reynolds has passed away from a heart attack. She suffered from bipolar depression and was one of the earliest and loudest disability and mental illness rights activists, speaking and writing openly about her life and struggles with mental illness. Trucking victim advocacy is very much a civil rights and disability rights struggle as unsafe trucks disable millions of Americans and many more millions of trucking victims worldwide. We mourn the loss of someone whom stood up while so many stood silent!
